The Three Day Elimination Fasting Retreat
Fasting is a beautiful thing…
Fasting has stood the practice of time for more than 5000 years. Fasting has a powerful effect on the body as well as the spirit. It allows the vital force within to rebuild and recharge. The mind-body connection is increased with fasting. During fasting one withdraws from everything that is toxic to the mind, body and spirit.
🌿 What's happening during the fasting retreat?
Depending on your level of toxicity, willingness to let go of old, stuck emotions, metabolism and intention to the fast, each person will have different experiences on their fast.
Day 1: You may feel hungry, but this hunger is more the effect of mental programming to eat three times a day. You might experience some dizziness and mild headache as the toxins start to enter the bloodstream. You also might have slight insomnia, due to the toxin release. On the first day, most people feel inspired and even energized.
Day 2: The headaches might increase in intensity, as well as dizziness and insomnia. In more 'serious' cases, people might feel nauseous and feel like fainting. Day 2 is usually the hardest for most people, especially for first time fasters. It is time to REST and DIGEST the patterns that are released. Some people may have no reaction, they may feel more energetic and have positive energy.
Day 3: One might feel a sudden burst of anger, sadness, frustration, joy or energy. Whatever is being released from your body physically, can have a huge emotional release response. Just let it be and let it go. Your energy level is likely to rise and you might start to have better sleep. Your mind is clearing and brain fog is disappearing. Your body may start to feel lighter, when the toxins are leaving your body, it creates space for the healing energy in deep tissues and organs.

🌿 Fasting Facilitator
Liz is a South African living in Taiwan since 1995. With the personal experience of her mother getting colorectal cancer in 2002, she realized that disease is not only the cause of over intoxication, but also the result of the accumulation of emotions and poor lifestyle choices. Her three main philosophies regarding health include:
✦“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” (Hippocrates);
✦ “Prevention is better than cure”; and
✦ “Living a simple, but rich life”
Since 2002 Liz started attending fasting retreats in Thailand and experienced the first-hand benefits. Fasting has since then become part of her regular health regime. She feels passionate about sharing what she has learnt along the way.
During the fasting retreats she applies aspects of the theories of Dr. Max Gerson, Hulda Clark, V.E. Irons, Bernard Jenson, Jane Boyle (Liz’s colon hydrotherapist mentor) and Hillary Adrian Han (Liz’s fasting mentor). She believes that fasting activates the body’s extraordinary ability to heal and repair itself.
Liz is a qualified Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor (since 2007) and a professionally trained colon hydrotherapist. She has been a registered member of RICTAT (The International Register of Integrative Colon Therapists and Trainers) since 2012.
